Sarah lives in a small desert town in Nevada with her mother. She works as a cashier, but after a coworker complains to her boss, she loses her job. After this she Shortly after she meets a drifter named Pepper at her mother's convenience store. Intrigued by Pepper, Sarah allows her to stay at the store until she can find somewhere to live. Sarah begins hanging out with Pepper and becomes drawn into Pepper's party girl lifestyle. This causes friction with her boyfrined as she starts developing feelings for Pepper.
